Our Aim
The aim and the fundamental objectives of the institution, as they are reported in the foundation statutes, are:
- Exploitation of the ability, the professional education and the social integration of blind individuals.
- Helping blind individuals gain their independence and reduce their difficulties as much in their daily life as in their professional life.
- The benefit of social services for blind individuals and their families
- The creation of employment opportunities and the improvement of the education level of blind individuals
- Informing the public, employers and the State as to their obligations towards blind individuals.
- Informing the Government as to the legislative framework that is in effect internationally with regard to blind individuals and the pressure for its application in our country.
- The promotion and availability of products created by the visually-impaired.
To attain our goals, we develop new activities and services, we upgrade our technological equipment and `monitor the international technological developments regarding issues of blindness.
